Autumn Winter ’15 collection 'Cons 5' was inspired by revolutionary Slovenian constructivism art group, founded in 1924 by August Černigoj, the only Slovenian that studied at famous Bauhaus art school and first ever Slovenian modernist artist, whose uncompromising revolutionary artistic performances resulted in drastic police deportation from the capital. Černigoj later found a soulmate in avantgarde poet Srečko Kosovel, whose poetry was way ahead of his time and is often compared with Arthur Rimbaud. Kosovel died at twenty-two, leaving behind almost 1,000 poems, although during his lifetime he published less than forty. The ideas and works of the group reflected the turmoil of the Balkans after the Great War, strongly criticized the bourgeoisie of that time and explored the

problems of identity and allegiance to the rising international socialism.

The strong parallel with present time and current political situation intrigued MÊHLÊ to research the artists’ ideas, graphics and poems for their Autumn Winter ’15 collection. The collection mixes rich forest green with light navy and black, seen in a range of oversized biker jackets, velvet bomber jackets, bonded skirts with pleats, press stud joined dresses and relaxed soft separates with hand printed graphics, Velcro tapes and detachable appliques.
